Morning Rituals For Your Success

Greetings Enritschers! I feel so honoured to be part of this incredible community, and to have the opportunity to share my obsession with you all: To inspire people to maximize their full potential, so that they can raise their standards and step into their personal leadership in every area of their life!

So here is a question: Are you aware of the fact that every single day when you wake up, you get to choose your life? You have the honor of starting a new chapter, completely change the path of your life and relationships, and thereby transform your future, every single day. Isn’t that just absolutely amazing! So how do you choose to live your life: as a victim or as a leader?

What do I mean by victim?

Well, if you choose to be a victim of your life you would wake up in the morning and wait for life to happen TO you. You might press the snooze button for 10 minutes, then you check how you feel. Then you grab your phone to check WhatsApp, Instagram, emails, Facebook and other social medias, and then start your day feeling accordingly. But are you aware that when you do that, not only do you abandon yourself the first thing you do in the morning, but you also choose a life that is being steered by other people’s opinions and lifestyles.

By pressing the snooze button, you not only disrespect your boundaries, but you also abandon the powerful part of you. Did you know that we sleep in 90 minute cycles, and when you snooze and fall asleep again for say 10 minutes you interrupt that pattern, leaving you more tired for the next 4-5 hours then if you would have gotten out of bed? Once you are up after snoozing and browsing, you are late, so you grab something on your way out the door or you might skip breakfast all together. BUT when you rush out that door, have you chosen to be the very best version of yourself, a leader in your life?

Ok so how do I reclaim my personal leadership?

You become the leader in your life when you make the decision to take charge of your morning! How you start your day will very much reflect how your day continues! Ask yourself in the morning: How would I start my morning if I wanted to leave my house being in charge of my life and stepping into my personal leadership? Below are a few rituals that you can incorporate from today to design your mornings and reclaim your power:

  1. Set your alarm with enough time to honor yourself in the morning and get up WITHOUT hitting snooze! If your alarm is your phone, keep it far away from the bed so that you HAVE to get up if you struggle with snoozing.
  2. Before you check in how you feel think of 3 things you are grateful for to take charge of your mindset and create a state if gratitude.
  3. While getting ready in the bathroom say 3 affirmations in the mirror while power posing (say them like you mean them ex: “I am powerful!” “I am unstoppable!”).
  4. Nourish your body with a healthy powerful breakfast.
  5. Fill your mind and soul with an inspiring audiobook or podcast.
  6. Walk out the door deciding to be a leader in your life!

The secret to transforming your life is making one decision every single day that takes you one step closer and implementing success rituals into your life that has you step into the very best version of yourself on a consistent basis. There is no quick fix. For your life to change, YOU have to change!

So, what will YOU choose tomorrow morning? I thought so – to be free; to be the Leader of your life!

Hi Tim, I really like the app "Breathe" it has a lot of great meditations. Apart from that check out podcasts with: Mel Robbins, Tony Robbins "The Tony Robbins Podcast" and also Oprah has a really good one called "Super Soul Conversations". I have also recently started a podcast called "Embracing Vulnerability"

Hi! Good question which a lot of people are experiencing. I always say it doesn't matter what you eat in the morning the most important thing is that you find a way to honor YOU in the morning what ever way that looks like. Maybe for you it just starts with a healthy cleansing drink of water and lemon for example. What ever you decide to do, do it with intention!

Aaaargh, this makes so much sense. Is so hard to do. Is a process that requires constant energy. Is part of a life journey. I try, but have to admit, struggle and fail some days to do what you suggest. And then I have this nagging voice in my head saying "why should I change when I learnt in my youth that I just need to accept and be happy with what God gave me." Talk about confusing! TB

Thank you for your honesty. A habit that we adapt into our life might seem overwhelming in the beginning and "hard to pull of and keep consistency" but then all of a sudden you have made the habit something that you start to crave! Keep challenging yourself without making yourself "bad" if you fail! :)
