Homeopathy comes from the Greek words ‘Homeo’ meaning ‘similar’ and ‘Pathos’ meaning ‘suffering’. It is a system of medicine based on like cures like. This means that any substance which produces a certain set of symptoms when taken by a healthy person will cure the same symptoms in a sick person, irrespective of the disease, when taken in an extremely diluted form. For example, if the symptoms of your cold are similar to those caused by an overdose of table salt, then a really diluted form of the salt will be your Homeopathic remedy for that attack of the cold.
Hydrotherapy is exercising in water for therapeutic purposes. The exercises are designed to use the buoyancy and fluidity of the water to ease the pressure on joints, and to make all movements easier than on land. You do not need to be able to swim to have Hydrotherapy sessions. The pool has three levels of depth to accommodate different needs. Flotation devices are used for patients who are anxious about being in water. Everyone can benefit from exercising in water. It is especially effective for the following conditions: Post-surgical rehabilitation Back mobilization and strengthening Exercises for all forms of arthritis Sports injury recovery and rehabilitation Ante/post natal exercises Geriatric exercises To decrease spasticity resulting from stroke, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis.

Chiropractic treatment involves manipulation (“adjustment”) of the spine as a treatment. It includes manipulation and massage to “adjust” the spine and related tissues. Skilled, specific hands-on techniques, including manipulation and mobilization, are used to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures, to reduce pain and to increase range of motion and general health. The approach is generally conservative, and treatment may include: manual procedures, including spinal or joint manipulation or mobilization, soft‐tissue and reflex techniques; exercise, and other active care; psychosocial aspects of patient management; patient education on spinal health, posture, nutrition and lifestyle modifications; emergency treatment and acute pain management; other supportive measures, including the use of back supports and orthotics; recognition of the limitations of chiropractic care, and of the need for referral to other health professionals.
Osteopathy is the science of human mechanics. An Osteopath diagnoses and treats imbalance in the musculoskeletal structure. These imbalances often manifest as pain in the back, neck and other parts of the body. Osteopathic treatment focuses on restoring balance and correct alignment of the musculoskeletal system. It is believed that once the balance has been restored, then the body will begin to heal itself. In this way Osteopaths facilitate the natural healing process of the body. In cases where imbalance exists, this is achieved by a combination of techniques; neuromuscular, fascial, craniosacral, visceral, indirect techniques and direct Osteopathic manipulation. Once balance is achieved appropriate exercise practice can help maintain postural integrity and hopefully reduce the possibility of future episodes.
Physiotherapy is a health care profession primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.

About Us

The Osteopathic Health Centre was set up in Dubai in 2000 by Malcolm Gregory (Greg) and Nargis Raza in order to continue offering relief to people in pain. Both had been involved differently with treating people in pain, Malcolm Gregory worked as an osteopath for the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid at the Nad Al Sheba Club for thirteen years. During that time he built up a busy osteopathic practice alongside his commitments at the club.

Nargis Raza had run her own company Total Fitness in Dubai since1980. It was the first company in the UAE promoting fitness, good nutrition and stress management as well as training fitness instructors to teach exercise safely. In 2000 Greg and Nargis combined their efforts to create a space for helping people in pain. They started out by offering a combination of osteopathic treatment to release pain, followed by exercises to restore mobility and improve physical strength. Stress management, was taught with deep relaxation techniques, and meditation practices.

Today they work with a wide team of therapists spanning over 3 clinics to combine a range of disciplines to help restore balance to the body. When balance is restored, the body will always heal itself.
